Abstract

Corrosion being an electrochemical reaction leads to transfer of electrons from one chemical species to another. Water and atmosphere corrode most metals. The action of atmospheric gasses on the metal may be non-uniform and hence the surface of the metal becomes rough there by producing cavities and holes which become deeper with the passage of time.  Enormous losses occur due to corrosion every year in all countries of the world, these losses are made up of the direct loses and indirect loss. The significant and effect of corrosion to both materials and economics cannot be over emphasized. At the end of the study, corrosion podia were solved, and the provided measures are taken to prevent and control corrosion, by the use of coating and sacrificial anode, to prevent the components [material] from effect of corrosion
