Exploring The Role of North East Youth Initiative for Development in Promoting Peaceful Coexistence in Yobe state of Nigeria (2019-2024)

Abstract

The study explored the role of north east youth initiative for development in promoting peaceful coexistence
in Yobe state of Nigeria (2019-2024). The overall objective of the study is to find out the role been played
by NEYIF in ensuring peaceful coexistence in Yobe state, the methodology employed at the cause of this
study involves secondary sources of data which includes chapters in book, articles in journals, and other
publications. The study finds out that; The North East Youth Initiative for Development (NEYIF) has
played a pivotal role in fostering peace, promoting social cohesion, and driving sustainable development in
Yobe State. Through its innovative programs and grassroots initiatives, NEYIF has empowered young
people to become active agents of change, contributing to the resilience and progress of communities across
the state, the study concluded that; NEYIF has demonstrated the transformative power of youth-led
initiatives in driving sustainable development and building resilient communities. As we reflect on the
achievements of NEYIF in Yobe State, it is evident that investing in youth empowerment and engagement
is not only essential for the present but also critical for the future prosperity and stability of the state and
the entire North East region. The study also recommends that; It is imperative to ensure sustained support
and investment in NEYIF's programs and activities to enable the organization to continue its impactful
work in Yobe State, there is a need for robust monitoring and evaluation mechanisms to assess the impact
of NEYIF's interventions and identify areas for improvement.
